"What is Your Why??"
You've presumably been asked this on several occasions and I can't recall how long it took me to truly comprehend why that question was necessary.
You see your why is what inspires and really pushes you on.
If it's acute enough, you will do whatever it takes to achieve the success that you crave for yourself.
Likewise if it's not forceful enough, this business is so unrelenting that you may well become one of the people who give up their dream.
When you're new to online marketing it's easy to get carried away with the idea of making heaps of money and that's a factor that not many of us don't think of as one part of our incentive for getting involved in this business. Yet that aspiration alone will not be enough to support you and keep you picking yourself up, brushing yourself off and moving forward when the going gets arduous..
Your why has to be an internal factor, for it to push you hard enough to keep moving you onwards when all you want to do is sit in the corner and lick your wounds, it has to be an issue that you get real agitated about in it's own right, something that makes you feel special regardless of whether you have enough money to pay your bills.
Finding your why is what enables you to stop chasing people and start drawing them to you, when you discover what makes you effective, what really inspires you and you utilise that, others respond to the confidence and the higher level of self awareness that generates and they begin to be drawn by that confidence.
When you first began, were you told to generate your warm list and work on them (family, friends, work colleagues), that's desperate, and it's a certain way to get those people turned off and avoiding you. Sure if you're really lucky you may have a few people on that list who are fired up and agreeable to do whatever it takes, but in all fairness, aren't there far more people on that list who switch off as soon as you start talking about your company? Learn to avoid them before they start to avoid you and establish you as the guy or gal that they least want to be around.
It's crucial for you to take control of the situation if you want to stop chasing & start attracting prospects to you - make a conscious choice to spend time and energy on people who want to move ahead with you rather than those who expect so much support to take a step or two that they lure you backwards constantly.
